Choosing your accessories can be a big decision, often we have questions when browsing online - perhaps you would like to know how a piece is created, or how it was inspired? Maybe you would like to know if a piece can be made in a unique colour or a different size?

I'd like to invite you behind the scenes to learn a little more about the Botanic Luxe headband and help answer all of those questions.

Botanical Inspiration

When creating a new collection I often refer back to vintage couture & decoration. I find imagery that resonates with the feel of the pieces id like to create and go from there. For the Botanic collection, I was channelling guilt vines, pearls and soft blush pallets with embossed leaves and sprawling vines - like those that can be found in the s/s haute couture collection from Giambattista Valli

'The quality of the materials is everything when creating a luxury accessory'.

Once an inspiration board has been created I begin sourcing elements to create the look. After many years of experience, I now only source the best quality elements for my designs, including non-tarnish gold & silver plating & Swarovski crystals.

The quality of the materials is everything when creating a luxury accessory.

Creation

Once all the elements have been sourced and selected creation of the design begins with leaves and crystals individually twisted into vines and metals flowers layered and embellished. They are then pinned into place and hand-sewn to secure, ensuring that the placement of flowers and leaves are well distributed and evenly balanced.

The finishing touch

Once all the elements are sewn, individual Czech glass beads are used to secure the vegan leather lining in to place and our Garter & Veil label is applied.

The creation of a Botanic Luxe headband is 3-4 days - each piece is hand-sewn to order and no piece is exactly the same.

As each one is made entirely to order you may choose to alter the design to suit an outfit - why not change the colour of the band or add coloured pearls?

Bespoke pieces are truly unique to you and I am happy to work with you to create a special design - if you would like to know more you can contact me here.

Styling tips

A padded headband is a modern twist on the traditional crown, however, the looks can really change depending on how you style it.

In this image, the headband has been worn with a sleek minimal trouser suit and low chignon for a chic modern look. With minimal jewellery, the headband really elevates this style to luxe levels.

If you prefer a classic bridal look wearing the hair down with loose curls is beautifully eligant as shown below.
