Every Garter & Veil piece begins long before the first pearl is threaded or the first crystal is placed. It begins with a question.
How should this piece make the bride feel?Not simply on the morning of her wedding, but every time she sees the photographs, opens its keepsake box or remembers how confidently she walked down the aisle.
For us, a bridal accessory is never an afterthought. It has the ability to bring an entire look into balance, adding personality, refinement and quiet confidence without ever competing for attention. That belief shapes every decision we make.
2. Thoughtful, considered design
We believe the most beautiful accessories are those that feel as though they belong.
Rather than following fleeting trends or designing for a single season, we focus on creating pieces with purpose—designs that feel relevant today while remaining deeply personal to the women who wear them. Every curve, every pearl and every hand-finished detail is considered for its proportion, movement and relationship with the bride herself.

Every design begins in the sketchbook before evolving through sampling, refinement and careful experimentation with materials and construction. There is no production line. No anonymous factory. Each piece is individually handcrafted in our Sussex studio, allowing every design to receive the same attention from first sketch to final inspection.
Working this way gives us the freedom to refine every detail until it feels right—not because a deadline demands it, but because the design deserves it.
4. Materials chosen with care
The materials we work with are selected not simply for their beauty, but for the way they behave. Freshwater pearls bring softness and individuality, with each one possessing its own natural character. Fine crystals introduce light without excess. Delicate metalwork provides structure while allowing designs to remain graceful and comfortable to wear. We believe quality is often found in the details that are not immediately noticed, but quietly appreciated over time.
