The Designer
Every Garter & Veil piece begins at the workbench, guided by a belief that beautiful design should feel thoughtful, personal and quietly distinctive.

A Different Way
of Designing
I never set out to create accessories simply to follow trends.
What has always fascinated me is the relationship between craftsmanship and emotion—how something carefully designed and made by hand can become part of a person's story.
Long before a design reaches the workbench, it begins in a sketchbook. Ideas are explored, refined and often set aside before gradually taking shape through sampling, experimentation and countless small decisions that most people will never see.
That slower, more considered approach remains at the heart of Garter & Veil today.

Every Piece Begins
With a Sketch
My background in design has taught me that the strongest ideas are rarely the first ones.
Every collection starts with pages of sketches, material samples and experiments, allowing each design to evolve naturally before a single pearl is threaded or crystal is placed.
Some ideas develop quickly.
Others take months before they feel ready.
I never rush that process.
Because the time spent refining a design is often what makes it feel effortless when it's finally worn.
Drawn to
the Details
I've always been drawn to materials that reward close attention.
The gentle character of freshwater pearls.
The way crystals catch the light without overpowering a design.
The quiet texture created through fine beadwork and delicate wirework.
These details may not be the first thing someone notices, but together they create pieces that feel balanced, refined and beautifully made.

Designed by Me.
Made by Me.
Every accessory is designed and handcrafted by me in my Sussex studio.
I don't send designs to a factory.
I don't oversee a production team.
From the first sketch to the final quality check, every piece passes through my hands.
Working this way allows me to remain connected to every stage of the process and to create accessories that feel genuinely personal.
It's also the reason I intentionally work in small quantities, giving every design the time and attention it deserves.

More Than
Beautiful Accessories
When someone chooses a Garter & Veil piece, they're placing their trust in me.
It's a privilege I never take lightly.
Whether a bride selects one of my collections or commissions a bespoke design, I hope she feels not only beautifully dressed, but completely herself.
Because the most memorable accessories aren't simply beautiful.
They're the ones that feel like they were always meant to be part of the story.
A Personal Note
Creating Garter & Veil has allowed me to combine everything I love—design, craftsmanship and the joy of creating something by hand.
Every order reminds me that somewhere, someone is preparing for one of the most meaningful days of their life.
Knowing that a piece I've designed will become part of that memory is a privilege that continues to inspire every collection.
Thank you for being here and for taking the time to discover the story behind Garter & Veil.
I hope you enjoy exploring the atelier.
