The brand was founded by designer Gemma Victoria, who brings over 20 years of design experience to her work. After graduating with a BA (Hons) in Fashion & Textile Design from the prestigious Winchester School of Art — under the mentorship of renowned artist Michael Angove — Gemma went on to work with leading British designers including Lee Broom, Osborne & Little, and Louise Bradley.
Her background in textiles, interiors and luxury design shapes the thoughtful, detail-driven approach behind every Garter & Veil piece.

Every design is made to order in our West Sussex studio using artisan techniques and high-quality materials sourced with care. We create slowly, intentionally, and in small batches — allowing us to maintain a level of craftsmanship that simply isn’t possible in mass production.
Our aesthetic blends modern British design with heirloom artistry. Clean, sculptural lines meet delicate hand-worked detailing, resulting in accessories that feel contemporary yet enduring.
